Caractéristiques chinoises, une installation de NING.
L’artiste propose à la Maison de l’international de Grenoble une installation de trois œuvres – Rouge et noir, Traverser la rivière en tâtonnant pierre à pierre et Xiang Tai Chi – qui se font écho en explorant chacune l’idée d’un ici et d’un ailleurs.
1. Rouge et Noir (calligraphie)
A peine installé à Grenoble, l’artiste explore de nouvelles possibilités dans ses calligraphies de mantras bouddhiques en alliant l’encre rouge au noir de la tradition chinoise.
2. Traverser la rivière en tâtonnant pierre à pierre (installation)
Traverser la rivière en tâtonnant pierre à pierre – 摸着 石头过河 – est une célèbre phrase empruntée à Xiaoping DENG, la figure emblématique de la réforme et de l’ouverture de la Chine, qui a défini une stratégie économique d’un socialisme à la chinoise.
3. Xiang Tai Chi (vidéo)
« Ça ressemble à du Tai Chi ».
L’artiste se met en scène dans une performance où il dessine les 26 lettres de l’alphabet latin en s’inspirant de la gestuelle du Tai Chi.
